Now, let’s get started with the review of this Skin Blemish & Pore Refining Serum – 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc by Revolution Skincare! Hi, I'm Gio. I'm a no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is skin coach and writer on a mission to help you achieve your best skin day ever - every day. I bust skincare myths and debunk marketing jargon to help you figure out what's worth the splurge and what's best left on the shelf - using science, not hype. I also offer skincare consultations to help you create the best skincare routine for your unique needs.

The bottles are pretty similar – which happens frequently in skincare – but so are the serums. They are both clear and completely transparent, and either of them has a smell. Beauty battling breakouts? Meet your next overnight skincare remedy with the Overnight Blemish Lotion. SHAKE WELL before applying directly onto affected areas with clean fingertips. Use every evening. Do not apply anything on top such as moisturiser or night cream. Only use when necessary on active blemishes. Do not apply to eye or lip area. And well, that's more or less all there is to this particular comparison. One point we would like to underline regarding both serums, though, is that Zinc PCA regulates oil production. So if you have oily/combination skin, then great! However, normal-to-dry skin types may find these serums too drying.Target those stubborn under-the-surface bumps whilst you sleep with this overnight spot treatment formulated with hard-working ingredients to help reduce inflammation and prevent future breakouts. Helps treat wrinkles:Preliminary research shows it canboost the production of skin-firming collagen. Some people state that niacinamide and vitamin C should not be used together as they neutralise each other or can react together to form nicotinic acid that can lead to skin flushing (redness). However, these days the raw materials and the formulations they are in are stabilised and produced under the correct manufacturing methods so that isn’t really the case. In real-world usage, they are fine to use together and actually their combined antioxidant effect and skin health benefits can lead to radiant, smoother and healthier-looking skin! If you really fancy comparing minutia, then it is worth noting that The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum does contain a small bonus in the form of Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, a moisturizing agent which also improves the skin's elasticity and leaves an extremely pleasant velvety feeling on the skin.

This product claims to be a pore refining serum that helps reduce the look of blemishes (and pores). Also, the formulations is perfect for oily, congested and, obviously, blemish-prone skin. Since there are a couple of claims about this serum, I am going to break them down while describing my experience. Though both brands do offer other types of skincare products, let's be honest, we're all here for the serums. It's how DECIEM's The Ordinary made such a name for themselves over the years, and subsequently how Revolution has nabbed some of the spotlight. So let's dive straight in!Delivery is on a selected date, you can choose a delivery day of your choice, up to 10 days in advance (Excluding next day delivery. Postcode restrictions apply) I have used this for about a week now, and my skin has gotten quite a bit worse with acne. Particularly I have lots small inflamed spots which have come up, and these are very painful to touch although small. Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3, and is an absolute powerhouse of an ingredient. It can (and should!) be added to your skincare routine if you are looking to improve hydration, reduce the appearance of blemishes, or even out the skin's complexion. Furthermore, preliminary research has shown that Niacinamide can aid in the production of collagen, thus also helping to treat fine lines and wrinkles. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Keep out of eyes. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water. Not recommended for use with topical prescriptions or sensitive skin. For external use only. For me, this is the truest claim! After just a couple of days, I was able to see quite a noticeable difference. The majority of my pores are concentrated on my cheeks, nose and a bit on the center of my forehead. After a couple of days I started seeing my pores shrinking and the texture of my skin was greatly improving.

Hi I use 0.1% tretinoin to treat my acne. I get it from a service called "Dermatica" in UK which is an online dermatologist. They formulate the treatments themselves. Is The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% A Dupe For Revolution Skincare Blemish and Pore Refining Serum – 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc? Our dermatology team advise you to persist with your treatment for longer to be able to see significant difference. How to use: Shake well before use. Apply to a few drops to clean, dry skin. Use morning and evening for best results. As I mentioned before, I already had a good experience with the same formula but of a different brand: TheOrdinary. I couldn’t help but notice a few differences not only in performance, but also the consistency of both products.

Pharmacy product

The product in itself worked well and, for the price, I can’t really be mad at it. I think that the bittersweet experience was caused by me expecting something different out of it. Please note that in the first weeks of adjusting a treatment, a worsening of acne may be observed, including the appearance of small pustules. This reaction is normal, it is the accelerated elimination of microcysts that were forming in the skin." I uploaded pics and from that they recommend based on the severity of my acne stil (after using tret for 6 months) that I change from **0.1% tretinoin to 0.1% Tret, with Clindamycin and Niacinamide mixed in to help inflammation and acne. That doesn’t stop it from being super drying, but it’s the only thing that sets it a little apart from Revolution Skincare Blemish and Pore Refining Serum – 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc.
